Dog Bite Reported In Leavenworth, WA

Animal Care & Control received a report of a woman being bit by a dog in a Leavenworth park at approximately 12:30 p.m. today, March 12, 2020.

The woman stated she was walking through a park on "The Leavenworth Loop,” when she approached a middle-aged Caucasian man with two Pit bull-type dogs, one mostly white in color and the other a chocolate brown. The man was walking in the opposite direction.

The woman reported asking if the dogs were friendly and if she could pet them, to which he answered “Yes” to both questions. The woman stated she pet the white dog without incident. However, when she offered the brown dog to sniff her hand, it bit the top of it. The woman reported leaving to seek medical attention without gaining owner or dog information.
