WVHS is dedicated to transparency and accountability for every animal in our care by providing shelter intake and outcome statistics. These intake and outcome statistics are determined using the Data Matrix calculated by the National Federation of Humane Societies.

This matrix was designed to serve as a national tool for primary data collection.

These graphs are interactive. You can select various years of data or view only certain species. The Shelter Animals Count independent, centralized database will be updated on the 15th of each month.
