the adoption process

Adopters Welcome Policy

Wenatchee Valley Humane Society believes in an open, conversation-based adoption process that carefully matches the lifestyle and expectations of adopters with the personalities and needs of our homeless pets. This approach gives adopted pets and their adopters an excellent chance for a successful, loving life together!

This Adopters Welcome approach embraces all community members, encourages them to adopt, and helps them and their pets succeed. It also acknowledges the connection among all local adoption agencies and the impact adoptions, or lack thereof, can have on all the animals in a community. For more information on the benefits of an open adoption process, please click here.

Before being adopted, all animals will receive spay/neuter surgery, a microchip, deworming, and age-appropriate vaccinations. Licensing fees are based on the jurisdiction where the adoptive family resides, and they are jurisdiction-specific.

Adoption Hours: 12:30 pm - 6:00 pm every day.
