We are currently not accepting large blanket donations

In-kind donations of most food and supplies are tax-deductible and can be dropped off at the shelter or purchased through one of our online wish lists that can be found below!

    • Dry and canned food or treats – bags may be open, but must be in original container and not expired

    • Pet crates that are in good working order

    • Pet beds – new or gently used are okay, but must be washed and can’t be extra-large

    • Pet toys – new or gently used

    • Dog poop bags

    • Pee pads and doggy diapers

    • Cat litter

    • Metal bowls & small cat dishes

    • Gently used or new leashes, harnesses, and collars

    • Protective reusable cones

    • Towels

    • Fleece blankets

    • Used litter pans

    • Cat trees/XL cat toys

    • Used cat/dog beds

    • Large & extra large dog beds (these are difficult to wash!)

    • Pillows

    • Comforters

    • Dog Houses

    • Automatic water/food dispensers

    • Carpet/rugs

    • Human clothing

    • Holiday-themed pet clothing and treats

    • Aquatic supplies includes fish tanks, reptile food, fish food, etc.

    • Bird supplies or cages

    • Homemade dog food or treats

Have a vehicle to donate?

Donate your car, truck, motorcycle, RV, or boat to WVHS by simply completing the form below and our partners at CARS (Charitable Adult Rides & Services) will reach out to you to arrange the pick-up of your vehicle donation, at no cost to you. You may qualify for a tax deduction while supporting a cause that is near and dear to your heart!

Vehicle donation pick-up is free to you and most vehicles can be picked up within 24-72 hours. You'll receive an initial car donation receipt upon pick-up and then the CARS team will work to turn your car into cash to support the animals in our care.

Once your vehicle is sold, you'll be provided with the proper tax forms in time to file your taxes. Friendly customer service representatives are available 7 days a week to assist throughout the process.
