Foster
Fostering saves lives. When pets are in foster homes instead of the shelter, they heal faster, gain confidence, and learn how to thrive in a home environment. Whether they're too young, shy, recovering from illness, or just overwhelmed by shelter life, fostering gives animals the stability and love they need. It also helps us better understand their personalities, making it easier to match them with the right adopter.

Volunteer
Lend a hand—change a life.
Volunteers are the heart of Wenatchee Valley Humane Society. From walking dogs and socializing cats to supporting events or lending a hand behind the scenes, there are so many ways to make a difference. Whether you have a few hours a week or just want to help occasionally, we offer flexible roles, training, and a supportive community. No matter your background or experience, there’s a place for you here. -
Events
From black-tie to trail time, there’s something for everyone.
Whether you're sipping cocktails at our annual Gala or hitting the trails with Pets & People Outdoors, our events bring animal lovers together to celebrate, connect, and make a difference. Check out what’s coming up—you (and your furry sidekick) won’t want to miss it. -
Board Membership
Help shape the future of animal welfare in our community.
Wenatchee Valley Humane Society is seeking passionate, skilled community members to serve as volunteer members of our Board of Directors and Board committees. We’re especially interested in individuals with experience in law enforcement, nonprofit leadership, or community engagement from Chelan or Douglas County. If you're ready to make a meaningful impact for animals and the people who love them, we’d love to hear from you.
