WENATCHEE, WA - The Wenatchee Valley Humane Society (WVHS) is the recipient of a $14,000 Regional Impact Grant from the Community Foundation of North Central Washington (CFNCW). WVHS was selected by CFNCW as one of twenty-seven non-profits who demonstrated significant impact in the community. In addition to receiving the grant, WVHS has the opportunity to crowdfund for its submitted project that supports a need-based program within Chelan and Douglas County through the Give NCW campaign.

WVHS will be using the opportunity to raise funds for its spay and neuter program. The program provides low- cost pet alterations to income-qualified dog and cat owners in the community.  The program also helps cover the costs to spay/neuter and vaccinate community cats.
