An Update From the Executive Director re: COVID-19

In an attempt to do our part in limiting the spread of Covid-19, Wenatchee Valley Humane Society (WVHS) and Wenatchee Valley Animal Care and Control (ACC) will remain closed to the general public until April 24, 2020.

During this time, your humane society team is still available by phone and email and continues to be a resource for pets and the people who love them. The kennel staff members lovingly tend to the animals in our care each day and volunteers work tirelessly to ensure all animals are socialized, receive their enrichment, and dogs are walked.

ACC will continue to dispatch and respond to calls, with emergencies being placed as a priority. In addition, license renewals can be made online or over the phone, with waived shipping fees. And, lost or found pet reports made through our website will be posted on the ACC Facebook page and shared on the WVHS Facebook page.

WVHS is conducting adoptions and animal surrenders by appointment and will continue to schedule meet and greets for adoptable pets. This process seems to be working wonderfully as adopters are finding they have more time to spend with potential adoptees.

Those looking to schedule a private meet and greet appointment, or to discuss the surrender process, can call 509-662-9577. To file a report with Animal Care and Control, please call 509-662-9577, opt. 1.

If you are volunteer, we encourage you to continue signing up for shifts. Our Volunteer Coordinator has carefully altered all schedules to reduce interaction with other volunteers and minimize the risk of the COVID-19 virus.

The teams at WVHS and ACC thank the community for its support and understanding as we move through this unique period in time and know that together we will get through this.
