WE’VE OPENED THE DOORS!
Our vision has become a reality! After five years of careful planning, construction for the new animal shelter is completed! It replaces the woefully inadequate and dilapidated structure that was at our current location, allowing us to better serve the nearly 5,000 animals entering our facility each year. The new shelter features two kennel wings, skylights for better lighting, noise-buffering materials, play yards, cheery cat colonies, private get-acquainted rooms, an exam and treatment room, better laundry facilities and food storage, and improvements in many other areas.
We’re really excited about the NEW community Education Room designed as a resource for the public to learn more about responsible pet ownership, spay and neuter programs, and other important topics. With these kinds of improvements, we can fulfill our mission of education, protection, and pet adoptions better than ever before! Thanks to the generous donations from people who care about the plight of lost, neglected, and abused animals in our area, we reached our goal of $2.2 million to covers the basic construction costs. Thank you!
You can help with finishing touches!
Our campaign continues to cover additional expenses for fencing and gates, paint, landscaping, rock, gravel and turf for dog play yards, industrial appliances, equipment, acoustical panels and to provide shelter enrichment for the animals in our care. A donation of $1,000 or more puts you on our Honor Roll list which is permanently displayed in the new shelter.
But literally ANY amount is valued and appreciated. We can’t do it without your help. Please send in your donation today and help us in the effort to find forever homes for each animal in
