It's Kitten Season!
We’ve all heard of spring, summer, winter and fall, but are you familiar with kitten season? Sounds cute, but this time of year can be devastating for shelters across the country. Every year, between the months of March and November, animal shelters experience a flood of homeless cats and newborn kittens in need of care and fostering. This is no different for our very own Shelter! We are literally bursting at the seams with kittens! We are so full, we have crates stacked in our vet room and we will soon be forced to move more into our hallways!
There are a variety of ways you can help us during this critical time of the year...
If you are looking for a new addition to your family, consider adopting one of our cats or kittens. Each of our animals deserves a permanent loving home! By adopting, you ensure a lifetime of happiness for our feline counterparts! Fees start as low as $15!
Becoming a foster parent is a vital way you can make a life-saving difference. By volunteering, you can provide temporary care for pets in your own homes until they are ready to be adopted. The more kittens who get into foster homes, the more space there is at the shelter. By offering your home to a kitten in need, you are saving lives. Become a foster parent and ensure that all animals get the loving homes they deserve—we simply can’t do it alone!
If you cannot take a pet(s) into your home, consider donating money or supplies to help the animals of our shelter. As little as $25 can provide the formula to bottle-feed a kitten for one month!! You can view our Wish List by following the link below.
This is such a vital time at the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society!! Please consider helping us today. You CAN make a difference in a pets life!!
