Have you ever wondered how you can continue to help others now and in the future? Your legacy of dollars, real and/or personal property, stocks & bonds, insurance, and other gifts can dramatically improve the lives of thousands of animals in the community where you live.
The last opportunity you have to communicate with your family is through your estate plan. It tells your loved ones and the community what was important to you and how you want to be remembered.
Many of our friends have donated estate dollars to The Wenatchee Valley Humane Society.
A planned gift to WVHS carries forward your compassion and concern for animals and may help you achieve specific financial goals, such as reducing or eliminating certain tax liability.
Planned Giving Options:
- Bequests: Perhaps the most straightforward planned giving option is to make a bequest in your Will. Regardless of your age or financial status, a Will is essential to ensure that your property is distributed according to your wishes instead of the arbitrary laws of the state.
- Naming WVHS as a Beneficiary: If you have a life insurance policy that is no longer needed to provide for dependants, consider making WVHS the beneficiary. this may enable you to make a significant gift to WVHS without using any of your estate’s capital.
- Other Options: Certificate of Deposit, Gifts of Property/Real Estate, Life Estate, Charitable Trusts, Making WVHS the Successor in the Interest of a Contract.
