- 8th Purse Dogs & Cat Clutches Luncheon, Wapato Point Cellars, Manson
A beautiful selection of purses, totes, bags and organizers will be raffled off during this spring luncheon to benefit WVHS Thursday May 8th from 12 noon to 2pm. Doris Bryant will be honored for her long time support of our Humane Society. Plus flower arranging demonstrations will be provided by Fleur de Lis Flowers. Cookies, decorated by Sarah from Safeway Bakery, will be available for purchase. Luncheon tickets are $25 and can be purchased by calling Beth Gamelin at 682-0939 or at the Chelan Chamber of Commerce.

- 31st Disk Golf Spring Fling & Disc Dogs Benefit
Saturday May 31st is the date for a unique fun-for-the-whole-family event! The Spring Fling will take place at Wenatchee’s Rotary Park on Western Street in Wenatchee. The Wenatchee Kennel Club will present dog agility demonstrations and assist with a Canine Disc Catching Competition. You can sign up with your family dog to compete in the disc catching contest for free – with donated prizes to all the winners in many different categories.
The Wenatchee Disc Golf Club will assist with a Public Disc Golf tournament. Adults, children and whole families can sign up to participate. Discs will be provided for players to throw and the club will demonstrate how to play the game before the tournament begins. The Disc Golf competition is open to novice players as well as experienced players. There is a small fee to register: $5 for children 16 and under, $10 for adults 16 and over, and $20 for families of up to 5 people.
All registration fees go to help the animals at the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society. You can register in advance or on the day of the event starting at 9AM. Spring Fling Entry Form.

- 27th Blessing of the Animals, Leavenworth
The Methodist Church in Leavenworth will be holding its annual Blessing of Animals on July 27th at Osborne Elementary School. There is no charge for admission or for an animal to receive a Blessing. Pastor Roger Hudson will be Blessing each animal individually and the animal will then receive a Medallion and a Certificate of Blessing. Display space is also free. Email for volunteer details.

- 2nd The Valley Wine Gala
We would like to invite you to join us The Valley Wine Gala, a wine tasting to benefit the animals at the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society. This fun and memorable evening will be held on Saturday, August 2nd at the Warm Springs Inn. Guests will share the knowledge and expertise of several local wineries while enjoying a silent auction, with hors d’oeuvres and desserts catered by the Warm Springs Inn. The ticket price to attend the Gala is $75 per person.
